Founded by Yehan Numata on October 22, 1934, Mitutoyo Corporation manufactures and distributes precision measuring instruments. This company has it's base located in Kawasaki, Japan. In 1934, a research laboratory was set up by Numata in Tokyo for manufacturing mechanical micrometers.
